NEW STREAM 2006

NEW STREAM 2006

Minivans by nature are sensible vehicles, but the new Honda Stream proves they can be exhilarating as well. The Stream offers all the utility you'd expect of a spacious 7-seater with three rows of collapsible seats and it supplies all the supreme craftsmanship for which Honda is renowned. But what you might not have anticipated is the surprisingly powerful response and comfort reminiscent of a sports sedan. . Or the smooth, sporty styling that invariably turns heads. This is one smart minivan, expertly engineered to deliver style, comfort, utility and excitement without compromise. Why settle for anything less?

The New Honda StreamStreamlined for Performance

Breakthrough technology brings supremely satisfying response to the sporty new Stream. You'll enjoy quick acceleration and robust torque at all revolutions, courtesy of Honda's high-performance 2.0-liter DOHC i-VTEC powerplant. A Sequential Sport Shift 5-speed automatic transmission brings out the engine's full potential. And an optimally tuned suspension delivers handling so smooth and sporty you may forget this is a minivan.

Indulge in comfort beyond your expectations.

Honda squeezed an amazing abundance of space into the aerodynamic Stream. Through innovative packaging techniques such as generous legroom was created for three rows of seats. But even more astonishing is the richly rewarding comfort that awaits all seven occupants: a genuine achievement in minivan history.

ODYSSEY 2006

ODYSSEY 2006

A 2.4-liter DOHC i-VTEC engine and a 5-speed Sport Shift automatic transmission provide superior driving performance, while the new ultra-low floor platform contributes to the Odyssey’s stylish new look and sporty feel. The ultra-low floor also provides a lower centre of gravity for better handling and its lower roofline contributes to its improved aerodynamics. The intelligently designed and spacious interior comfortably accommodates seven people in three rows of seat.
This third-generation Odyssey is a new benchmark in innovation, with its fusion of speed (lower center of gravity for improved ride and handling), elegance (a result from its low overall height), and roominess (low-floor platform creates more headroom than previous model).

Design
Exterior design
1. Designed around the motif of a black panther, with its low-profile form speeding swiftly and smartly over a grassy plain, the Odyssey presents fresh new styling and a distinctive presence.
2. Centered on a floating grill, the slim-profile headlights and front bumper are integrated and positioned low. The front fenders are flared wide to emphasize the feeling of breadth and strength.
3. The side view features an elegant, unified silhouette that connects smoothly from the low, short front nose to the roof end.
4. The rear view design is dynamic and has a solid feel.

Interior design
1. The high-quality interior combines a functional, fashionable cockpit with an elegant, relaxing passenger space. Controls are concentrated in the center panel, with the dashboard spreading out to either side and blending with the doors for a unified look all the way to the rear.
2. The shift lever is positioned as close as possible to the steering wheel. This significantly reduces the distance the driver's hand must travel to operate it, resulting in more ergonomic shifting. The advanced design features a gun-grip shift knob and a ball-shaped metallic slider.

Safety performance

1. Honda's original G-CON (G-force Control) technology is incorporated to create a body with a crash safety design that is among the best in the world. It can withstand a 55 km/h full-frontal collision, a 64 km/h front offset collision, a 55 km/h side collision, and a 50 km/h rear collision. Furthermore, in addition to a high level of self-protection, the vehicle's crash compatibility body reduces aggressivity toward other vehicles.
2. ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) provides active protection when braking regardless of road and weather conditions.
3. Equipped with dual SRS airbags in the front and side curtain airbag system for the 1st to 3rd row seats that helps reduce head injuries in the event of a side collision.
4. Front-row seats are fitted with 3-point, load limiter-equipped, pretensioner ELR seatbelts. The driver's side belt is equipped with a lap pretensioner on the outer end of the lap belt, in addition to the shoulder belt pretensioner, for improved occupant retention in both the pelvic and thoracic regions.

Key FeaturesPackaging and utility
1. The new Odyssey's new low-floor design results in a roofline 80 mm lower than the previous model, allowing access to standard multi-level parking facilities. It also offers 5 mm more headroom than the previous model for far greater roominess than the vehicle's external appearance would suggest.
2. The 2nd-row seats are equipped with a double folding mechanism that allows them to be stored flat.
3. The 3rd-row seats feature a power under-floor storage mechanism, allowing them to be easily stowed away at the press of a switch. Therefore, the new Odyssey features the “world’s first electronically folding 3rd row seat”.

NEW CRV

NEW CRV 2006

The new CR-V comes with a 2.0-liter DOHC i-VTEC four-cylinder engine capable of producing 156 horsepower at 6,500rpm and 19.4kgm of torque at 4,000rpm that has been created with Honda's vast experience in designing powerful engines that are compact in size, lightweight and silent. The intelligent i-VTEC system adjusts the inlet valve opening and closing times according to the engine speed and engine load thus promoting perfect combustion at every engine range. Response is instantaneous at every engine speed, and ideal fuel economy is achieved along with environmental friendliness.
The new CR-V's four-speed transmission has been developed to offer quick acceleration, smooth shifts and low fuel consumption at high speeds. The Cruise Control System provides the driver with convenience on long journeys while the Grade Logic Control System chooses the right gear ratio when driving uphill and downhill.

The new CR-V offers high comfort levels in every situation due to the front toe-control link strut suspension with stabilizer as well as the rear reactive link double wishbone suspension with stabilizer that offers increased comfort and good stability when braking.

The new CR-V features an improved new Real-Time 4WD system that is compact and lightweight. A one-way ball cam pilot clutch helps improve the automatic transition from 2WD to 4WD depending on the conditions, while more stability is achieved when driving on slippery conditions as well as during cornering. Smoothness of a passenger car is achieved in both 2WD and 4WD modes, as well as increased confidence.
